Alex Cleghorn is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising Alaska Tribes, tribal organizations, and Alaska Native corporations on legal, policy, governance, and economic development matters. He is licensed to practice law in Alaska, California, and several tribal court jurisdictions.
Alex is a tribal citizen of Tangirnaq Native Village and a shareholder of Natives of Kodiak, Koniag, Inc., and Cook Inlet Region, Inc. He served for many years on the Woody Island Tribal Council and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of Koniag, Inc.
Alex's practice focuses on tribal governance, Alaska Native law, tribal jurisdiction and justice systems, federal and state policy matters, economic development, and business transactions.
Alex lives in Dena’ina Ełnena (Anchorage) with his family.
